Job Description

NetSuite Administrator

This position is responsible for the ownership, reliability, and evolution of the company’s entire technology environment. The role combines hands‑on technical execution with systems ownership, operational support, and long‑term IT planning.

You will act as the central technical authority across all core platforms, ensuring systems operate reliably, integrate cleanly, and scale with the business. Department leaders own their functional tools; this role ensures those tools work together seamlessly and continue to meet business needs.

This is a highly visible role with broad autonomy, requiring strong judgment, prioritization, and the ability to balance immediate support with long‑term improvement.

Technology Landscape

  • NetSuite (core ERP)
  • Celigo (integration and data orchestration)
  • SNAP Fulfill (warehouse and fulfillment)
  • Magento / Adobe Commerce (eCommerce)
  • Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Claude with MCP (AI and automation tooling)

Technology Ownership & Direction

  • Drive the overall direction of IT across the business, guided by the following principles:
  • Reduce friction for customers and internal teams
  • Architect solutions correctly to prevent future rework
  • Apply AI and automation to multiply team output
  • Favor commercial solutions over custom builds when practical
  • Serve as the single owner of IT today, with responsibility for shaping the future-state organization
  • Build and scale the IT function over time:
  • Starting as an individual contributor
  • Expanding to a hybrid team of 3–4 (onshore, offshore, and AI assistance)
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to align systems with operational goals

Infrastructure & Connectivity

  • Maintain and oversee all on‑premise and cloud infrastructure, including:
  • Servers, networking equipment, firewalls, and wireless environments
  • Track system health, performance, and capacity to prevent disruptions
  • Manage external vendors providing connectivity, infrastructure, and hosted services

Enterprise Systems Management

  • Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
  • Own access management across all platforms, including provisioning and deactivation
  • Ensure stability and ongoing support of all business‑critical applications
  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot system-to-system integrations

Operations & Warehouse Technology

  • Support technology used across multiple warehouse and operational sites
  • Maintain high availability standards (99.9% uptime) for operational systems
  • Act quickly and decisively during incidents to minimize business impact
  • Work closely with operations leadership to enhance current systems and implement new solutions

End‑User & Corporate IT

  • Deliver reliable IT services to a user base of 70+ employees
  • Oversee helpdesk function, cloud tools, and AI-enabled productivity solutions
  • Ensure efficient onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing user support
  • Continuously improve the employee technology experience

Security, Risk & Recovery

  • Own endpoint security, patching strategy, and vulnerability resolution
  • Define and enforce IT security policies across devices, users, and networks
  • Manage backup strategies and disaster recovery readiness
  • Support compliance requirements and lead response efforts during security events

Support, Change & Improvement

  • Serve as the highest escalation point for unresolved IT issues
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades and system improvement initiatives
  • Produce and maintain clear documentation covering systems, integrations, and procedures
  • Ensure knowledge is captured and transferable as the IT function grows

Role Summary

This role is ideal for a senior, hands-on IT professional who enjoys:

  • Broad ownership rather than narrow specialization
  • Working directly with business leaders
  • Solving system integration challenges
  • Building scalable, well-documented environments from the ground up
