About the Role

We are hiring a Business Development Manager to lead agent acquisition and drive expansion of our network. This is a high-impact, revenue-focused role suited for a senior professional with a strong background in P&C insurance and consultative sales.

You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and onboarding top-tier independent agents and agency owners. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of agent economics, distribution challenges, and what motivates high-performing producers to transition or scale.

You will work closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Operations to refine positioning, improve conversion, and strengthen the overall go-to-market strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agent Acquisition Strategy- Develop and execute targeted strategies to attract experienced P&C agents, producers, and agency owners.
  • Pipeline Management: Own the end-to-end business development process from prospecting to onboarding, ensuring a seamless and efficient sales cycle.
  • Consultative Selling: Understand the needs and challenges of insurance agents and articulate the value proposition of Renegade Insurance’s model and technology-driven solutions.
  • Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with top insurance agents, agency owners, and key industry stakeholders to drive sustained growth.
  • Market Intelligence & Feedback Loop: Gather insights from prospects and industry trends to inform Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams, ensuring continuous improvement of our offerings.
  • Collaboration & Process Optimization: Work closely with internal teams to enhance our sales funnel, marketing messaging, and agent onboarding experience.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies to optimize conversion rates and overall business growth.
  • Brand Representation: Act as an ambassador for Renegade Insurance at industry events, networking opportunities, and professional associations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales or business development experience with a strong record of quota attainment
  • 3+ years of experience in Property and Casualty insurance (Required)
  • Proven ability to sell to experienced agents or agency owners
  • Strong understanding of independent agency operations and producer economics
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment preferred
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability
  • Proficient with CRM systems and outbound sales tools
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Compensation & Benefits
