Position Summary
The Front Desk Agent is the first and final touchpoint of the Wythe experience, setting the tone for every guest’s stay from arrival to departure. In this role, you create seamless, welcoming moments that immediately put guests at ease while embodying the relaxed, understated spirit that defines Wythe. With a passion for exceptional hospitality, you serve as the hotel’s central hub—connecting departments, anticipating needs, and ensuring every detail comes together effortlessly.

Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Create genuine connections with guests through warm, authentic interactions
  • Execute seamless check-in and check-out processes while personalizing each experience
  • Handle telephone operations, reservations, and guest communication with professionalism
  • Process payments, explain charges, and maintain billing accuracy
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations about Brooklyn, Williamsburg, and NYC attractions
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, F&B, and other departments to fulfill guest requests
  • Recognize and accommodate returning guest preferences to enhance loyalty
  • Transform service challenges into positive experiences through graceful problem-solving
  • Execute cross-venue coordination between Hotel, Le Crocodile, and Bar Blondeau
  • Distribute mail, packages, and maintain organized front desk operations
  • Enter guest information into PMS systems with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Protect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times

Position Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in upscale hospitality or customer service environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across diverse guest demographics
  • Deep appreciation for Brooklyn's cultural landscape and luxury hospitality standards
  • Proficiency with technology systems and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and grace under pressure
  • Natural curiosity about guests and genuine interest in creating memorable experiences
  • Collaborative team player with ability to work seamlessly across departments
  • Commitment to accuracy in both service delivery and administrative tasks
  • Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 20 pounds
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
