Austin, Texas energy firm is seeking a professional and friendly office receptionist/administrative assistant to manage the front desk operations and provide administrative and general office support. This candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and vendors, ensuring a welcoming and organized office environment. The ideal candidate will bring accountability for assigned responsibilities. This is a contract position with potential to go permanent. Hourly salary $25, to $33, DOE.
Applicant to reside in Austin, Texas. This position requires at least four fixed days,Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, in office each week, starting at 8am working between 28-32 hours a week. Compensation is hourly, A fully remote schedule is not available.
Key Responsibilities :
Communication and Greeting Visitors
Create a seamless visitor experience, offering beverages and directing guests appropriately.
Maintain clean reception area.
Handle incoming emails and calls professionally.
Administrative Support
Prioritize daily responsibilities efficiently and without supervision.
Handle multiple tasks.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries. Can go to offsite mailbox once or twice a week.
Manage conference room bookings and tidiness.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint Excel, Outlook and Teams)
Experience with office equipment, Zoom, and Teams.
Office Coordination
Restocking snacks and beverages.
Tuesday taco ordering!
Order and maintain office and grocery supplies and inventory.
Assist with catering, or event planning as needed. We like to have fun!
Support various departments.
Fun ad hoc tasks!
Qualifications
Must possess a strong work ethic and demonstrate problem-solving skills in a start-up company.
