Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Morrisville NC

Duration: 03 Months possible Contract to hire

Shifts:

Mon to Fri - 08:00 am to 04:30 pm, every other weekend (will be assigned the same weekday off)

Mon to Fri - 05:30 pm to 02:30 am, every other weekend (will be assigned the same weekday off)

Hours per week: 40 hours

Position Background

This position is responsible for completing prescription orders for Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technician will be expected to:

1. Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.
2. Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble them into appropriate bins accurately and promptly.
3. Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication for all orders.
4. Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused medications, marking used bottles, and keeping inventory neat and organized.
5. Consistently meet established accuracy and productivity standards set by the pharmacy.
6. Collaborate with supervisors and other functional areas to maintain smooth and efficient workflow.
7. Maintain a clean and orderly workstation, put medications away, and replenish stock supplies as needed.
8. Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to dispensing prescription medications.
9. Perform other essential functions and duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Background

• Previous pharmacy experience is required.

Licensing Requirement

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
