Role Overview

We are seeking multiple Network Solutions Architects / Senior Network Engineers to support large‑scale backbone and data center network deployments across new and expanding markets. This role focuses on logical network design, deployment, and commissioning rather than hands‑on field cabling.

You will work closely with Network Architects and Field Engineers to translate high‑level architecture into production‑ready network infrastructure supporting MPLS and L3VPN services at scale.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with large‑scale service provider or backbone networks
• Hands‑on experience with MPLS and L3VPN architectures
• Experience deploying and supporting Cisco IOS‑XR–based platforms
• Familiarity with backbone router deployments (500+ routers environment)
• Experience supporting data center and backbone builds (e.g., deploying 20+ cabinets of routers/switches per project)
• Ability to create and maintain network drawings, designs, cut sheets, and implementation documentation
• Comfortable working in new market builds and greenfield deployments
• Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with architects, engineers, and operations teams

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support as needed for deployment, commissioning, and troubleshooting of backbone and data center network infrastructure
• Execute initial commissioning of network equipment using a Meraki SD‑WAN out‑of‑band management network with Raspberry Pi–based console access
• Analyze fiber KMZ data and fiber distance measurements to assess feasibility and guide network design decisions
• Develop and maintain implementation artifacts, including:

-Bills of Materials (BOMs)

-Cross‑connect tables

-As‑built documentation

-CIQ‑type deployment deliverables

• Install GISO images, validate firmware/software versions, and ensure compliance with architectural standards
• Apply approved golden configuration templates for initial deployments across:

-Cisco 8201 platforms with 400G coherent optics

-A1K systems operating as EDFAs

-Cisco 9902 platforms acting as MPLS PE (Provider Edge) routers delivering customer services

• Support statewide network deployments, including new communities and market expansions
• Collaborate closely with Network Architects to translate product and architectural designs into technical requirements
• Partner with field engineers during deployments and travel onsite for chronic or acute network issues when required
• Deliver production‑ready, standards‑compliant infrastructure while operating independently with minimal supervision
