S. Tipton Studio, a 2024, 2025 and 2026 Zweig “Best Firm to Work For,” is seeking a commercial interior designer with 2-4 years of experience to join our Raleigh, NC team.

We are a relationship-driven interior design studio specializing in corporate projects, and we're looking for a motivated individual passionate about partnering with our growing roster of clients.

Who You Are

Our ideal candidate is not just detail-oriented but genuinely excited about every aspect of design and project delivery. You are a well-rounded, customer-service-oriented professional who is highly organized, technically minded, an excellent communicator and a strong problem-solver.

We are looking for either a Junior or an Intermediate I candidate, pending your level of experience.

Interior Designer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA-accredited university
• 2-4 years of professional experience in a commercial architecture or interior design firm
• Strong construction documentation skills in Revit, specific to corporate projects
• Proficient with Enscape
• NCIDQ certification preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong in-person and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an effective team
• A drive for design and a willingness to learn and grow
• Demonstrated competency in interior design specifications, industry standards, and application of building codes

Candidates must be available to work in-person in Raleigh, NC. We are open to exploring candidates located in our other market, Austin, TX, but Raleigh, NC, is preferred.

What You'll Do

As a Designer on our team, you’ll assist through all phases of projects, including:

• Test Fit Planning: Developing floor plans to meet tenants’ space needs.
• Field Verification: Conducting on-site assessments and inputting data into Revit.
• Design Development: Supporting design development and finish selection.
• Construction Documents: Helping prepare detailed documents for project execution.
• Client Coordination: Communicating and collaborating with clients, consultants, and vendors to ensure seamless project flow.
• Product Research: Exploring innovative products to enhance our design solutions.
