As a contracted Background Investigator, you will conduct federal background investigations in accordance with government standards. This includes:

• Interviewing subjects and references
• Reviewing records
• Preparing detailed reports
• Ensuring all work meets strict quality and timeliness requirements

Qualifications

• Current or Prior federal background investigation experience
• Active T/S federal security clearance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
• U.S. Citizenship required

Requirements

• Conduct field interviews with applicants, employers, coworkers, neighbors, and other relevant sources
• Review and verify records including employment, education, law enforcement, and financial documents
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate investigative reports
• Manage your own schedule and workload as an independent contractor
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to federal investigative standards
