Reporting to the group's SVP, this position will lead core investment accounting functions while driving strategic transformation initiatives across reporting, systems, and controls. Job Description

• Investment Accounting Leadership:  Lead the end-to-end accounting and reporting process for a diverse investment portfolio across US GAAP, statutory, and other regulatory frameworks; ensure timely closes and serve as the internal expert on investment-related financials.
• Process Modernization:  Drive automation, system enhancements, and data governance improvements across the investment accounting function as part of broader finance transformation initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Partner with actuarial, investment, risk, and technology teams to support enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring accounting alignment and execution on complex transactions.
• Governance & Strategy Execution:  Represent investment accounting in corporate forums and steering committees, providing insight on controls, reporting standards, and financial operations strategy.
• Team Leadership:  Manage, mentor, and scale a high-performing team; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development aligned with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• CPA highly preferred
• Accounting experience in insurance or financial services, including deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and statutory investment accounting
• Relevant experience managing teams and leading through organizational change
• Exposure to reinsurance, annuities, or complex investment vehicles strongly preferred
• Experience with Clearwater, Alteryx, Power BI, or other accounting/reporting tools a plus
