Job Description:

The Content Strategist is a versatile social media professional who brings both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to company's social presence. This role is a little bit of a jack of all trades seeking someone who blends platform expertise, cultural awareness, and creative instinct to develop content strategies that drive awareness and engagement across consumer and industry audiences. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building a strategy deck and shooting a Reel. Someone who can zoom out to see the big picture, then roll up their sleeves to make it real.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy Development: Build and execute social media strategies aligned with company's brand and business priorities across B2C and B2B audiences, translating goals into platform-specific storytelling.
• Content Creation: Develop and produce content as a core function of the role, from concepting and copywriting to light production, ensuring quality and consistency across channels.
• Campaign Support: Serve as a strategic contributor on cross-functional campaigns, from product launches to cultural activations, helping shape creative direction and ensuring on-brand execution.
• Insight-Driven Optimization: Use data, social listening, and audience insights to inform content decisions, track performance, and surface opportunities for improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Brand, Studio Z, Communications, and Performance teams to bring integrated campaign ideas to life with clear channel strategies.
• Trend Spotting: Monitor emerging platforms, formats, and cultural moments to keep Zillow's social presence fresh and relevant; share learnings proactively.
• Operational Contribution: Support planning workflows, content calendars, and reporting to keep campaigns on track and visible to stakeholders.

Must Have:

• Min 5 years experience both w/strategy as well as content creation (50/50) but NO MORE THAN 7 years experience (or will be rejected).
• Must be able to travel up to 25% (maybe less..more than 5% but not greater than 25%). An example of the types of events: Activation at the MLB allstar game..
• Ability to see a trend, activate and bring to life all within a day.
• Strategize, write a brief and execute.
• Ability to write a strong brief.
• Must know the social platforms (meta, tiktok, YouTube) and their best practicesCreate and manage a content calendar in sprinklr or other similar toolShoot and edit content for tiktok, instagram, YouTube. Editing experience in ____ (capcut, adobe?)Experience creating content and Knowledge of channel best practices for Instagram, Tiktok, and YouTubeAbility to use data and listening evaluate and optimize content
• Agency background is a plus and experience with other household name companies strongly preferred.
