About the Role:

We’re looking for a hands-on Buyer who thrives in a fast-moving manufacturing environment and enjoys owning the full purchasing and planning process.

This isn’t a narrow, transactional role. You’ll play a critical part in ensuring materials are available to meet production demands, balancing cost, quality, and timing, while partnering closely with operations, engineering, and sales.

What You’ll Do:

• Own end-to-end purchasing: sourcing, quoting, negotiating, and issuing POs
• Build and maintain demand forecasts tied to production plans and business inputs
• Plan and manage material requirements to support manufacturing schedules
• Support costing and pricing by maintaining accurate standard costs
• Partner with sales to provide reliable cost data for quotes
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively address delivery or quality issues
• Strengthen and manage relationships with key vendors and niche suppliers
• Analyze inventory and recommend reorder points, safety stock, and replenishment strategies
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align supply chain with shifting priorities
• Identify and drive cost savings opportunities
• Maintain accurate data in ERP systems (lead times, pricing, supplier info)
• Support compliance with quality and aerospace standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement across supply chain processes

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years in purchasing, planning, or supply chain (manufacturing preferred; aerospace a plus)
• Experience working in a small or mid-sized business with broad responsibilities
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage suppliers
• High attention to detail with strong follow-through
• Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating clearly
• Ability to adapt and problem-solve in a dynamic environment
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Excel

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with aerospace or regulated environments
• Certifications like CSCP, CPSM, or CPIM (not required)
